Projects Dr Hitesh Chheda. Thanks to all who have participated and
large-heartedly supported the project.
The identification of 15 patients requiring cataract was done at
Manav Sewa Trust Vriddhashram, Sakhwar (on WE Highway), Dist Thane, on 1st July
by Dr Hitesh Chheda and Dr Jigar Bathia. Spectacles were also distributed be Rtn
Ashwin Gala.
Operations were arranged gratis by Rtn Mukesh Thakkar at Borivali
Gujarati Sewa Mandal. This institution and its trustees headed by Shri
Prafulbhai is doing yeoman service to the society.
Blood and urine check-up of 10 patients at Sakhwar was carried
out by Bharat Ganjawalla of Ganjawalla Laboratory.
On 8th Sept
the 1st batch of 5
patients were brought to Borivli in transport arranged by Mona and Manish Gyani
and PN Rajul Pathak. 1 patient had eye infection so cataract surgery was done by
Dr Jigar Bathia on 4 patients at the ultra modern operation theatre of Borivali
Gujarati Sewa Mandal. Anaesthist was Dr Bhavin Shah. Lunch and snacks for all
and medicines for the patients were arranged by Rtn Mukesh Shah. Return
transport was managed by Rtn Hemant Asher.
On 9th Sept
in the morning Dr Jigar Bathia traveled to Sakwar for removing the dressing and
post operative check-up of the patients.
A very satisfying project and perfect example of team work.
