President Ashok called the meeting to order and the National Anthem was sung.

He informed the meeting of the untimely and sad death of Shri Bharat Ashar brother of Rtn Hemant Ashar. Bharatbhai was actively participating in the polio NIDs. although not a Rotarian officially he was Rotarian at heart. one minute silence was observed and the members prayed for peace to his soul.

Pres Ashok welcomed the members and guests. 14th September being Hindi day he sought permission of the meeting to conduct the meeting in hindi. He then requested Ann Vidyottama Sharma to escort the chief guest to the dias. He also recognized PP Kandarp Desai of RC of Bombay Juhu Beach who had accompanied the cg.  The Rotary formalities followed- birthdays and anniversaries.

medical check-up camp (jointly with IW Club of Borivli) at A.D.Pawar School wherein about 450 were examined. Kudos to Director Mona Gyani for the same

PP and District Secretary Prafull then introduced the chief guest. But before that he explained how 14th sept came to be celebrated as Hindi divas. he also thanked CP Vinay Vyas and acknowledged his large-heartedness since although elected to the District Nominating Committee for nominating the DG for Rotary Year 2013-14 he will not be able to sit in the same since Prafull is one of the candidates for DG.

The CG gave a wonderful and personal account of the life and times of Kavi Pradeep, whom the whole of India recognizes for his poems - the most famous of which is Ae mere watan ke logo, jara ankh me bhar lo pani. his pen was a huge factor in uniting the people of our country at the time of our fight for independence. he will be remembered and his work cherished for years to come.

Prospective Member Chirag Shah was welcomed to the meeting.

Rtn Pramodbhai informed the meeting that with inputs from our eye bank,  the ganpati mandal at BEST nagar, Goregaon has done a wonderful AV presentation in their pandal for creating eye donation awareness. He urged the members to visit the same

Secretary Mudrak gave the secretarial announcements and Rtn Avinash proposed a hearty vote of thanks. The meeting was then adjourned.
