Our club conducted an Eye Donation
Awareness drive during Ganpati Visarjan
on Anant Chaturdashi at L T Road in
Borivli. A big pandal was put up.
Message of eye donation reached approx 2
lakh persons. 20,000 glasses Soft-drinks
were distributed to exhausted devotees
going for Visarjan. 40 Rotarians and
their families including small kids
participated. They were distributing
the soft-drinks and chanting the slogans
to spread awareness about Eye Donation.
During procession, many group leaders of
different mandals also came forward to
convey the message of this good cause
to their community through our stage.
Compliments to Rtn. Mukesh Thakkar for
arranging snacks for Rotarians & their
families and Soft-drinks for devotees.
Thanks to all donors for donating and
helping spread awareness for this noble
cause. We are also thankful to all Rotarians
and their families present there and
extended their help distributing
soft-drinks, chanting slogans & distributing
awareness leaflets and expect similar
co-operation from all members. We are also
thankful to all non-rotarians specially
Jayubhai and local society members to extend
their help.
