Rotary Meeting as

Todays meeting was about sharing experiences of Rotary International Convention.
All were welcomed by a drink. Hemang Vora was the greeter.
President Mudrak called the meeting to order and the National Anthem was sung.
The speakers PP Rajendra Kinariwalla, IWPP Rekha Kinariwalla, PP Vinay Vyas, PP
Chetan Desai, PP Manish Gyani, PE Mayank Desai were welcomed to the Dias.
Pres. Mudrak informed the meeting
-of the public seminar held on 19th August
2012, and about the report of the same that has appeared in the today’s Gujrati
Mid Day. He congratulated vocational service director Avinash Gujrati for a
wonderful project.
-Early Cancer Detection Camp to be held on 26th August
at Digmber Jain Mandir near Yogi Nagar. He congratulated Treasurer Ajay Jain and
Director Medical Services Hemant Asher for the same.
-Members of our club have shown overwhelming response in running for Eye
Donation Awareness in the Dream Run of Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon to be
held on 28th January 2013
and that 95 members have registered for the same. He recognized the efforts of
PP Manish Gyani and team for the same.
-The Pilgrimage Tour to Somnath is scheduled from 22nd to
26th December 2012 and
recognized the wonder planning and registration of 50 members by the Pilgrimage
committee PE Mayank Desai, Sec.Ashis Tapiawala,
Rtns. Ashwin Gala,Hemant Asher, Viresh Vora, Avinash Gujrati,
- that the cataract operation of the senior citizens has been scheduled on 8th September
2012, and Blood and Urine tests have been carried out by Ganjawalla
Laboratories. He thanked Shri Bharat Ganjawalla for the same.
Today Ann. Vidyottama Praful Sharma was a guest speaker at RC Thane Midtown.
The President welcomed the prospective members Shreya and Mihir Vaidya.
The
experiences of Rotary Convention were then shared by the following with
wonderful PP presentations and personal anecdotes.
PP Chetan
Desai talked About Rotary Convention and why one should attend it and about Pre
Convention and making new friends
PP Vinay Vyas shared about logistics and
preparations in making the convention a huge success.
IWPP Rekha
Kinariwala gave the ladies perspective as Ann and IW member.
PP Manish
Gyani dwelled on Opening ceremony, plenary and break out sessions
PE Mayank Desai elaborated on House of
Friendship, Sergeant at arms experience and closing ceremony
They also
presented flags of other clubs exchanged during the convention and other
mementos to the President.
PP Rajendra Kinariwala had the last word.
Jt Secretary Rajendra Tamhane gave the Secretarial Announcements. President
Mudrak proposed a hearty Vote of thanks..
Total attendance for today's meeting : Rotarians 30, R'Anns, guests and
prospective members 10.
