EVENT : Eye / Cataract Checkup and spectacles distribution to
120 Senior Citizens.

Kinariwala's daughter Ruma and her husband, IW member Hemlata
Panchal and Arunaben. This was a joint project with Inner-Wheel
club of Borivli.
Rotary year 2012-13 began with a bang. The project for eye /
cataract checkup and spectacles distribution was well executed
on first day ie. 1st July, 2012. All gathered by 8.30 am to head
to Manav Seva trust's vridhashram at Village Sakwar.
Immediately on reaching the venue Dr Hitesh and Dr. Jigar
started their job of eye and cataract checkup. Rtn. Ashwin too
started checking up for eye glass nos. and distribution of
spectacles to needy senior citizens. All other members happily
joined them as helping hands. You can surely witness happiness
on all senior citizens specially those who received spectacles
and started reading their books mainly bhajans and religious
books. Overall 120 senior citizens were checked and 16 people
are identified for need of cataract operation and will be
treated very soon once all arrangements are done. There were 28
spectacles distributed. Few were also given eye drops.
The project was completed on time at about 11.45 am. We expect
same kind of co-operation and on-time punctuality in future
also. Together let us make RC-Borivali as 'on-time' club.
