The Installation ceremony of President Mudrak and his champion
12 team was a grand occasion for the family of Rotary Club of
Borivli. It was very well attended by members, district
dignitaries and 18 co-presidents. The meeting started sharp at
8:00pm and ended at 9:50pm. Entire meeting was very well
anchored by PP Ashok Shetty. First Lady Vanita and Ann' Ketal
invoked lord Ganesh with Ganesh Vandana. Outbound youth exchange
student Dimple Soni wonderfully described our Club theme "Serve
through Heart, Head and Hands" as a thought of the day.
District's
Platinum Award Winner IPP Ajay Gandhi shared glimpses of Force
XI year in his inimitable style. His presentation revealed the
numerous projects Force XI team carried out during one of the
most successful years of our club. This was deservingly
applauded by the august gathering.
This was
followed by Change of Guard and Installation ceremony of
President Mudrak in the presence of DG Bal Inamdar. In his
acceptance speech, President Mudrak highlighted his focus area
and major projects he has planned for the year 2012-13. He
appealed to all the directors and members to come up with
project ideas for benefit of community and assured that together
those dreams will be fulfilled under
Rotary banner. After
the speech he first recognized guardian angels of the club ie.
All Past presidents, which was followed by installation of the
Board of Directors, at the hands of DG Bal Inamdar.
First ever
official electronic newsletter "Kanheri Rotary" was released by
DG Bal and bulletin editor PP Chetan Desai. TRF donors, PHF
Level 5 PP Umesh Soni, New PHS and PHF Level 3 PP Chetan Desai
and PHF level 2 Nitin Majithia were felicitated next. RI
awardees for the new award "Each Rotarian:Reach One, Keep One"
were also felicitated. There are 8 members identified for this
award. DG Bal also released EYE bank Clock which were later
gifted to guests. He also released RYE Promotional Brochures
prepared by RYE Avenue Chair PP Chetan Desai.
GC Aparna
Garud introduced AG Yusuf Lanewala who then introduced DG Bal
Inamdar in his effective style. DG Bal Inamdar's speech was one
of the highlight of the ceremony. He appreciated IPP Ajay Gandhi
and praised plans of President Mudrak. He also emphasized on
creating Public Image of Rotary. The major projects planned by
district were also told to guests present there. District is
planning to have Pediatric operations on a large scale. He
praised RC Borivli for being part of two Service 12 Projects
namely Rotary Kanheri Utsav and Blind Cricket Tournament in
2012-13.
The meeting was adjourned by vote of thanks by PE Mayank Desai.
