Rotary Project Bhagwat Saptah as on 21st April, 2013 - Day 4

Dear Friends,
 
Our Local trains are famous world over - for their efficient services and (for more than) optimum passenger carrying capacity. Bahoot Gardi hei ( बहूत गर्दी है) is common sentence heard at local trains and stations in Mumbai. This of course is common during peak hours of week days, not said so usually on week ends, but  yesterday we at Rotary Eye Bank Pavilion we heard  many many ......many times the sentence बहुत गर्दी है .
 
Yes friends, our Eye Bank Pavilion was jam packed yesterday with over 5000 people listening to famous ' Krishna Janmotsav'  by Katha vachak Shri Bhupendra Pandyaji, giving between info about Rotary Eye Bank, Eye Donation. We ran out of all mattresses, chairs, sofas and tables ( put together could accomodate 5000 persons), people were standing not only at every inch of Pavilion but also outside in open up to main gate. And yes we heard 100 times, and yes, enjoyed hearing it -  बहुत गर्दी है ! 
 
We were happy to receive Rotarians from our distinct, who were escorted and very well accommodated by our family of RC of Borivli. Here are few names of Dist officials and Rtns graced the event  - PDG Kumar Kewalramani, PDG Bansi Durandhar+ Surekha, DGE Lata Subraidu, DGN Subhash Kulkarni+Swati, Rtn Harjit Talwar, Rajendra Unnikrishnan, Preeti Shah, Arun Bagadia+Madhu, Devendra Bhatt+Harsha, Girish+Amita Mittal with Girish's parents, Shanti Ghadiwala, Prezs Bharat Dhruv, Sunil Wankawala, Ulka Kapadia, Rajul Gandi, PEs Hitesh Juthani, Deep Kapadia, Nimil Gohil, Harsh Makol, Bhushan Seth, Kartik Shah and ohers. Many guests from Rotary fraternity gave / committed their generous support to our Eye Bank. Family of RC of Borivli is indebted to them. 
 
A Community project going on at the site every day between 10am and 1pm. We organised a complete medical check up camp yesterday. More than 60 persons were benifitted with this facility. There are few stalls of different products / picture gallery  the most visited among them is Giriraji ke Darshan.More than 500 persons join for dinner every day. A wonderful occasion for a fellowship
 
With large hearted generous contribution from our PP Chetan Desai and PE Mayank Desai we are happy to announce that after all formalities done,  Rotary Eye Bank will be named after brothers Chetan and Mayank's mother's name - Manjulaben Dolatrai Desai Rotary Eye Bank. The banner of this name was unveiled yesterday. Thank you Chetan, Mayank and entire Desai family (who were felicitated on stage at the hands of Shri Bhupendra Pandyaji). 
 
Its a pleasure to receive stream of people every day in this event. You too are welcome to Rotary Eye Bank Pavilion which is on till 24th April between 3 and 7pm.
