INDUCTION OF 4 NEW MEMBERS

Sergeant Jayesh collared Pres Ashok and asked him to start the meeting.
 

President Ashok called the meeting to order and the National Anthem was sung.

Pres Ashok welcomed the members and guests. He then requested PP Vijaydada to escort the chief guest to the dias. The Rotary formalities followed- birthdays and anniversaries.

He complimented Rtns sudam, ashwin, mona and team for the enthusiastic work done at polio nid on 26 th sept.

he complimented pres elect ajay for the wonderful project ratri before navratri. ajay then gave his feedback on the project

He congratulated rtn sanjay shah who along with rtn satish sharma of rc dahisar won the doubles crown in the badminton tournament hosted by rc mulund.

then he informed the meeting that our club has been chosen to host the pets 2011 and CP Vinay has been unanimously selected at the board meeting on 1.10.10 to be the convenor of the event.

visiting rtn pp suresh patel of rc north west was welcomed to the meeting.
he then invited ipp manish to inform the meeting of the RI awards for membership received by the club during 2009-10. manish informed that the following 4 awards were recd
highest addition in the district
highest retention
membership recognition award
membership development initiative.

pres ashok informed the meeting that at the board meeting held on 1.10.2010 the name of PDG dr Bharat was suggested for consideration by the dist nomination committee for nomination as District Representative to the 2013 Council on Legislation. And it was
"Resolved by Rotary Club of Borivli at its regular meeting held at Granville Hotel, Borivli, Mumbai 400092 on 08.10.2010 at 2000 hours that the name of Rtn PDG Bharat Pandya of Rotary Club of Borivli be and is hereby suggested for consideration by the District Nomination Committee for nomination as District Representative to the 2013 Council on Legislation" Proposed by PP Nitin Majithia
Seconded by PP Umesh Soni
carried unanimously. 

Membership Director Rishi Panchal then took over to conduct the induction of new members. With the usual pomp Shri Mahendra M Vasani was inducted as honorary member and Shri Rajendra Tamhane, Smt Bhavna Kapadia and Shri Chirag Shah were inducted as members.

Rtn Hetal then introduced the chief guest.

PDG Shrirang in his seasoned style filled with anecdotes and true stories talked about the rights and duties of members and the 5 elements of rotary - fellowship, service, leadership opportunities, image and internationality. the members were richer in knowledge after the wise words of the cg.

pres ashok complimented rtn mangesh for arranging the 1st of the vocational visit to mahindra tractor divn for the students of gokhale college
 

he also informed the meeting of the paul harris society and called all the phs members of our club to the dias - pdg bharat, pp rajendra, pp umesh, ipp manish and rtn hitesh. pdg bharat appealed to the members to give whatever they wished to the foundation 
 

Secretary Mudrak gave the secretarial announcements and PP Vijaydada proposed a hearty vote of thanks. The meeting was then adjourned.
